Where is this place?
Timeu is located directly north of Barrhead. You can go north of Barrhead on HWY 769 directly to the Klondike ferry or you can go through Fort Assiniboine and backtrack a bit.
The official ATV (OHV) area is just across the ferry and on the north side of HWY 661. It is bordered on the west by the Timeu road (RR 50) and to the east by the Athabasca River.
The Klondike ferry ramps were rebuilt in 2012/2013. I now take my 30' motorhome over, pulling a trailer with no issues.
There is only a 10 minute difference in travel time and both routes are very scenic.
